Holly from Balloon How To

Hi and welcome to my website!

My name is Holly and I make balloon how to videos that I post on youtube and here on balloonhowto.com!

I have been twisting balloon animals ever since I was about 10 years old and my dad brought home a very basic balloon animal kit.  I remember trying to make a simple dog and having a lot of trouble too!

Eventually I got better at making dogs and my parents bought me more balloons and more instructional books.  I would spend hours in my room making dozens of balloon dogs in all different colors and I would draw different faces on them and play with them just like they were barbies or something (guess you're starting to think I'm weird now).

I really enjoyed making balloon animals but didn't think there was much more than the basic 1 or 2 balloon animals I was learning.

Fast forward a few years - now I'm in middle school and my mom heard of a professional balloon artist who was going to be at her college.  She brought me along to watch him knowing I enjoyed playing with balloons.  I literally stood there for about 2 hours watching every single thing he made! He was doing things I had never seen before - disney and warner brother's characters like tweety, taz etc.  I was amazed!

So as soon as I got home I pulled out my  old balloons and got to work trying to make the things I had seen him make.  This opened my eyes to a whole new world of twisted possibilities!

Now fast forward to today - 2012.  I run a successful balloon entertainment company that I started with my sister in 2005 called The Twister Sisters.

Sometime in 2009 I started making videos of some of my balloon animal designs and uploading them to youtube, mostly so that I could remember how to do them later!

The youtube channel has also seen a good deal of success and it is growing and gaining more subscribers every day!

I now do weekly balloon tutorial videos on Tuesdays, which I affectionately call Tutorial Tuesday.  This is my way of giving back to the industry and helping all the other aspiring or seasoned balloon artists out there - some who I've had the pleasure of meeting in person and some who I haven't gotten to meet yet.

I've got big plans for this website and our youtube channel, so make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter so you'll get notified whenever anything exciting happens!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you find this website and videos helpful to your own balloon twisting endeavors!
